This is just a very small best-off selection out of the 3000 photos we took in Namibia. We still enjoy looking at the photos recalling all the strong impressions of people, wildlife and landscape. And nearly all memories are beautiful or somehow positive like the owerwhelming hospitality in all our accomodations and the incredibly beautiful sky at night. The only uncomfortable challenges we had to survive were cold nights and roads in conditions I hope never to be forced to drive at again.
As you are all aware there are not only good news from southern Africa these days. From the bottom of my heart I wish good luck to all of the people we got to know in Namibia and South Africa. They let us learn so much about this part of the world. And we were lucky to visit some promising projects dedicated to the preservation of endangered species in Namibia: thanks and good luck to Maria Diekmann of the REST (Rare and Endangered Species Trust) in Otjiwarongo and unforgetable Africat in Okonjima.
